Club Description:

Debate is an academic activity that engages students in argumentative competition. The Tiger Debate/Forensics Team generally competes in the following events: Policy Debate, Public Forum Debate, Value Debate, Original Oratory Speech, Extemporaneous Speech, Student Congress, Humorous Interpretation, Dramatic Interpretation, Prose/Poetry Reading.

Students are required to attend a minimum of two tournaments each semester (most attend more).

The Tiger Forensics Program is also a charter member of the National Forensics League, giving students an opportunity to reap the benefits of national honor society. This gives students the opportunity to qualify for a national tournament, receive special awards and honors, and to wear honor cords at graduation.
